Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a diverse ethnic background. Her father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is a Malaysian. There are two brothers as well as an older sister. The family relocated to Bahrain during the 1980s because of the Lankan civil unrest and hence her birth and education were in Bahrain. In Australia she pursued a degree in Media and Communications at University of Sydney after graduating from Bahrain. An avid lover of different cultures and different languages, she joined Berlitz Language School, where she learned Spanish and improved her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she won the title in 2006. Her first appearance on television was after she won her the Miss Sri Lanka title. Her show, Lanka Business Report, is about business in Sri Lanka. Padukone is the child of and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. As a teenager, she participated in national badminton tournaments. She later resigned from playing and went on to become an artist. Padukone hails from Mangalore and her mother tongue is Konkani. Padukone is a village located in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State of India, is where her lineage originates. Prakash Padukone is her father and a former badminton star with international recognition. Her mother is an agent of travel.
